Potrero sits on the northwest coast of Guanacaste, just past Flamingo and a short drive from Brasilito and Conchal. Most visitors fly into Liberia and rent a car — the roads in are paved and easy.

The closest international airport and the easy choice. A straightforward drive north and west through Belén and Huacas — figure an hour and a half, give or take, depending on traffic and how often you stop.
From San José (SJO)

Doable as a scenic cross-country drive, though times vary a lot with traffic, weather, and the route you take. Many Gold Coast visitors skip it with a short domestic flight into Liberia or Tamarindo instead.
